Hi, I’m Alison Cassin.
When I started my journey in nutrition, I didn’t originally intend to become a Registered Dietitian. My interest in nutrition stemmed from my love for natural sciences (my undergraduate degree is in Zoology) and the impact our food supply has on both human health, and our environment.
After working in labs in both industry and research, I realized that I wanted to meld my love of science WITH service. I completed a Masters of Nutrition Science at University of Cincinnati in 2010, followed by a dietetic internship, passing the boards in 2011.
Since that time, I’ve worked in clinical nutrition- almost exclusively with patients living with food allergic conditions- from IgE-mediated food allergies, to eosinophilic gastrointestinal diseases, and more.
My Approach
I’ve often said I learn the most from my patients. I am an expert in this field, but YOU are an expert in your child, your lifestyle and your resources.
Let’s work together.
Pragmatic
There is more than one way to shop, cook, eat, feed a child, and achieve a nutritionally complete diet.
Client-focused
I want you to walk away feeling empowered to keep your family safe while providing a nutrient-rich diet.
